An investment in education pays dividends for life. Like any investment, however, matching resources to costs can be difficult for many families.
At Midland, we believe that a high quality college preparatory education should be accessible to families of all economic means. We are committed to enrolling a talented and diverse student body. While the primary responsibility for financing a student’s education rests with his or her family, Midland uses its own resources to supplement family contributions and offers one million dollars in need-based financial aid awards annually in the hope that cost will not deter applicants. Aid awards range from several thousand dollars to nearly the full cost of tuition to families from a broad range of income levels.
Tuition for the 2015-16 academic year is $46,200, plus $700 for book fees. International students pay an additional $3,500 fee to cover medical insurance and mailing costs.
Tuition may be paid in full by July 1 or in two equal payments not later than July 1 and November 1.
Midland offers need-based financial aid to meet the difference between what a family can afford and the cost of tuition. For the 2014-2015 school year, Midland awarded over $1 million in need-based financial aid to 47% of the student body.
Financial aid is renewable and families are required to apply each year. To apply for aid please visit our “Financial Aid” page. If you have any questions regarding financial aid at Midland School, please contact Amy Graham, Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (805) 688-5114 extension 114.
