We are pleased that you have decided to become a candidate for admission to Midland School. Our application process requires prospective students to follow several steps over the course of the admission cycle. All steps necessary to complete the application process are outlined below. Indicate your interest in applying to Midland School by contacting the Admission Office or by completing the online Inquiry Form. You will be assigned a login and password for Midland’s online admission application.
All applicants are required to have an interview at Midland. If an applicant is unable to visit Midland due to distance limitations, a telephone or Skype interview can be arranged. Contact the Admission Office to schedule an appointment. Please refer to the “Visiting Campus” section of the website for more information about visiting Midland.
Candidates for grades 9 and 10 must take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). For more information on registration and test dates, please call SSATB in Princeton, NJ at 609-683-4440 or via the web at www.ssat.org. To ensure Midland receives your score report, our SSAT school code is 5074. We only accept test scores directly from SSAT; we do not accept copies from your school or consultant. To prevent delays be sure to list us as a score recipient when you register for your test. If you are unable to take the SSAT, we will accept the ISEE. Our ISEE school code is 570276.
Candidates for 11th grade may submit the results of the PSAT, SAT, ACT or SSAT. Have your school counselor add your scores to your transcript or send us a copy of your official score report directly via fax or email.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all applicants whose primary language is not English. For more information, please call TOEFL at 609-771-7100 or via the web at www.toefl.com. To ensure Midland receives your score report, our TOEFL school code 8802.
The completed application and the application fee of $50 ($100 for international applicants) must be postmarked by February 15 for the first round of admission decisions. Midland offers the following three options for completing the application:
• Apply Online - your non-refundable application fee may be paid by credit card.
• Paper Application - download (PDF format) and print the application form. Submit by mail with a check for the non-refundable application fee ($50 for US residents; $100 USD for non-US residents).
• SSAT Standard Application - if you are applying to multiple independent schools, we will accept the common application offered by SSAT.

Letters of decision will be mailed on March 10, and your reply is expected by April 10.
